After everything was loaded on Sunday, Katie went to her car to get some clothes & decided to move her car up to the church. She happened to notice her battery light was on so her grandpa lifted the hood to check things out. He added some water to the battery in case it was low and then proceeded to look around. That's when he noticed the serpentine belt was off.
To make a long story short...Val called a friend in Sidney who had a guy come to tow Katie's car back to his place. We all loaded up in Jordan's van & Val's van to make the drive to Sidney as well. When Chris looked at the car, the only problem was a nut had come off. He can't explain why it happened, but he had a nut to replace it, and we were all back on the road in pretty good time.
We all talked about how God has watched over us in this circumstance. It could have happened on her drive back to Indiana...it could have happened at night (two weekends ago we were in Spencerville and were the only ones left at the church - they had us lock up when we were done loading)...it could have happened when we didn't have people to help us. But...God, in all His glory, provided the right moment in time in order for this to all happen the way it did!
